Saturday, 4 November
Having our annual Reunion on a game day is a mixed blessing. We do this because it typically draws more people to town, especially if Texas is doing well.
Unfortunately, we do not know the game time in advance this year so expect Saturday’s activities to be somewhat flexible. The following schedule is based on a 2:30 p.m. (or later) kick-off time. Check our website regularly for schedule changes. All our activities will be centered in and around the Liberal Arts Center, referred to as RLP (for Robert L. Patton Hall) and the WEL (Robert A. Welch Hall) auditorium, a short walk down and across Speedway.
Parking on Campus Saturday.
Be advised that parking around campus on gamedays is challenging. Plan for potential delays. Give yourself ample time to get to the reunion events on campus. Information on UT parking can be found at https://utparking.clickandpark.com
Alumni Foundation Board Meeting.
From 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. the UT NROTC Alumni Foundation board will hold their quarterly meeting in RLP Room 5.402 (McRaven classroom), before the General Business Meeting. All are welcome to attend, space permitting.
General Business Meeting & Scholarship Awards.
From 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. the “Main Event” will be held in the large WEL (Robert A. Welch Hall) auditorium, Room 3.502. This is the alumni general business meeting and scholarship awards ceremony. Come learn about the latest Unit activities, plans, and achievements. See the awarding of over $140,000 worth of scholarships and officer swords to our Battalion members by your Midshipmans Foundation. Meet and visit with the Battalion members, staff, and alumni.
Directly after the General Business Meeting or after the game, if it’s an 11 a.m. kick-off, we will have our annual BBQ (& Beer/Wine) on the 1st floor patio of RLP, and the
adjoining Glickman conference room. We always plan on a few extra people, but be considerate and register early for this event so that we will have enough for everyone. The cost for the BBQ is $25 per head which includes beverages. If you pay at the door, the cost will be $30 per head. We have lowered the price from previous years to drum up higher attendance while still being able to take care of the Battalion members. Many are scholarship recipients and several help with the setup of tables and chairs for this event.
NOTE: Pok 'E' Joe's will only serve for 1-1/2 hours starting at 11
a.m. Beverages are available until they are all consumed.
Kick-off time for Texas vs. KSU is not set yet. We have 40 tickets for purchase this year. Tickets are $50 each for alumni and guests. The football tickets are typically distributed at the general business meeting and scholarship awards ceremony. Tickets must be purchased via our website. First come, first served. The POC for the football tickets is Ray Adams (’80) and his email is email@example.com.
