As in previous encounters we will face off Navy versus Marine Corps in a “best ball” format. Star Ranch is located at 2500 FM 685 in Hutto, Texas (NE Austin just north of the toll road 45 East). The cost is $75+tax, Seniors (60+), $55+tax. All fees include green fee, shared cart, and warm-up range balls.

Note that the breakfast and lunch buffets, previously included in the greens fee, are no longer included. Each player will pay when they arrive.

Crow's Nest Summit Meeting.

Tentatively scheduled at the Embassy Suites hotel. We will meet at the Embassy Suites Hotel at 3 pm on Friday afternoon, in a reserved room, to discuss scholarship plans, unit room, board issues, and to just remember old times.

Reunion Social.

Join us at 5 pm for a casual Social at the Embassy Suites Hotel Arboretum. The food and drinks are complimentary.

Informal Class Gatherings.

Typical "watering holes" for class get-togethers are Scholz Garten (1607 San Jacinto, 512-474-1958) and the Flying Saucer Emporium, 815 W. 47th Street. Be advised. Scholz Garten is under new ownership and has gotten a bit pricey lately.

Saturday, 4 November

Saturday’s Schedule.

Having our annual Reunion on a game day is a mixed blessing. We do this because it typically draws more people to town, especially if Texas is doing well.

All our activities will be centered in and around RLP (for Robert L. Patton Hall) (RLP was previously referred to as CLA). The other venue we are using will probably be the William Powers Student Activity Center, which connects with the RLP, and is referred to as SAC or the Robert A. Welch Hall down Speedway, and is referred to as WEL.

Parking on Campus Saturday.

The Alumni Foundation decided a few years ago to get out of the parking business. It has become too complicated and there are numerous opportunities for parking all around the campus. The University's own parking garages are probably the most convenient. For early birds coming to the board meeting, the East Campus Parking Garage, located at the intersection of I-35 and MLK Blvd, will open at 7am. It only costs $15 but there is no shuttle to anywhere from there until 2.5 hours before the game.

Alumni Foundation Board Meeting.

From 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. the UT NROTC Alumni Foundation board will hold their quarterly meeting in RLP Room 5.402 (5th deck), before the General Business Meeting. Those who may be interested are welcome to attend, space permitting.

General Business Meeting & Scholarship Awards.

From 1230 to 1450 the “Main Event” will be held Robert A. Welch Hall (WEL) room 3.502. This is the alumni general business meeting and scholarship awards ceremony. Come learn about the latest unit activities, plans, and achievements. See the award of over $130,500 worth of scholarships and officer swords to our Battalion members by your Midshipmans Foundation. Meet and visit with midshipmen, staff, and alumni. There may even be a special guest to speak to those in attendance.

BBQ Dinner.

Our annual BBQ is hosted on the 1st floor patio of the RLP, and the adjoining Glickman conference room. We always plan on a few extra people, but be considerate and register early for this event so that we will have enough for everyone. The cost for the BBQ is $35 per head which includes beverage. If you pay at the door, the cost will be $40 per head. Prices are at this level because we are treating Battalion members to this event. Many are scholarship recipients and several help with the setup of tables and chairs for this event.

Football Game.

Kick-off time for Texas vs. Kansas State is TBD. Tickets are $50 each for our alumni and their guests. Tickets are typically distributed at the general business meeting and scholarship awards ceremony. First come, first served.

Sunday, 5 November

Breakfast.

With the advent of a headquarters hotel that serves a hot breakfast (included in the cost of the room), the tradition of meeting at Cisco's has virtually disappeared, but we don't want to discourage those who want to keep it up. Cisco's (1511 East 6th Street) has been a favorite for many over the years for a "migas" breakfast. For those who do go there it's best to gather around 8am.

Two Ways to Register

Traditional.

As we have for years now, you can use the registration form found in your 2022 Reunion Newsletter or you can click here to download that form. Fill in the form completely, enclose a check for payment and mail to the address shown on the registration form. You can include a donation for the Alumni Foundation in the same check as the one used to pay for events.

If you want to make a contribution to the Midshipmans Foundation, use the separate form, provided in the 2022 Reunion Newsletter for that purpose, and mail it to the different address shown on the form. You can also download that form here.

Online Registration.

A special site will be set up for online registration.
